Leduan
Luigi Baldi is a winemaker based near the Italian town of Costigliole D’Asti. He recently inherited a beautiful patch of land next to his home, kissed by the sun from dawn til dusk, with unique soil ideally suited to growing Nebbiolo, the king of grapes.

“Santeri’s careful study of a world previously unknown to him, combined with undeniable artistic talent, delighted me. Holding the bottle, my clients and oenophile friends admiringly exclaim: “A bottle of heritage-filled, Italian wine of terroir… designed by a Finn?”, to which I reply that Santeri has represented, in this superb design, our world - one that he has understood even better than many of us in it.”

Leduan is an intimate wine from a beautiful place (recently designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site), nurtured by family for generations, and so deserved intimate design treatment. The illustration takes you to Leduan with a view into history toward Burio castle. The bronze print treatment reflects the marriage of sun and soil that makes the wine unique. The first harvest took place in 2018, with the first bottles released in 2021. Roughly 4,000 bottles are produced per year.
